Restorative Justice offers a fresh, more holistic way of looking at criminal justice by focusing on repairing the harm done to people and relationships rather than on punishing the offenders
Citizens, neighborhoods, communities must collaboratively work together to find alternative ways to mutually support existing city, school, court and government systems, while putting the needs of citizens first!
We cannot incarcerate, fine, punish our way of out mental illness, drug addiction, poverty racism and bigotry. We must commit to not the short term but the long term problem solving.
Kentucky Center for Restorative Justice (KCRJ) was founded in November, 2011 to build a dynamic and innovative social and restorative justice center to provide legal support for criminal and civil cases and to provide conflict resolution services for communities, schools and the justice system.
KCRJ also focuses on poverty, immigration and human rights. Using education, litigation, restorative processes and other forms of advocacy and collaboration, the Center works to eliminate hate and bigotry and seeks justice for the most vulnerable citizens of Kentucky.
We invite you to join us in our mission. Help move Kentucky forward. Keep updated about restorative justice news and events.
